![]() ![]() These nifty programs save all your passwords, so you only have to remember one: the key you type to enter the manager itself. You probably know by now that you need a different password for every online account since if you reuse the same codes, that makes it easy for hackers to steal your data.īut remembering every single password is nearly impossible - unless you use a special manager. It’s hard to keep track of them all, from banks, utilities, social media sites and more. Here, you get a centralised web administration panel for managing your organisation's passwords that you can customise exactly as you see fit.įor IT managers who want better control over how employees handle passwords, RoboForm is a great choice. Now that most of our daily business has traveled to the digital world, we have more online accounts than ever before. We recommend it more for businesses than for personal use, as many of the best features are reserved for RoboForm for Business. It’s one of the few password managers that can autofill information into desktop applications, it’s reasonably priced, and it uses strong encryption throughout. RoboForm is an excellent password manager with features many businesses will love. Plans with a centralised admin console start at £3.40 per user a month and rise to £5.10 per user a month for the most comprehensive set of features. It includes features like dark web monitoring and adaptive biometric authentication, but it’s significantly more expensive than RoboForm. These have more modern user interfaces than RoboForm, but lack some of its more advanced customisation options.Īnother password manager with good support for teams and businesses is LastPass. If you just need a password manager for personal use, there are slicker options, such as NordPass and Dashlane. RoboForm’s most impressive features are for managing the passwords and credentials of a team or an entire organisation. It can also show you where you’ve reused a password over multiple websites. The RoboForm application includes a Security Centre that highlights which of your passwords are weak. ![]() They’re sent in an encrypted format and use sophisticated public-private key cryptography, so passwords can’t be seen when they are in transit. Passwords can be shared between team members. This removes any risk of your company’s passwords being leaked if the cloud service provider were to have a security breach, because none of your sensitive data is stored online. ![]() You can set the software to only use your local storage instead of using a cloud service. RoboForm stores everything in an AES 256-bit encrypted format, making passwords virtually impossible to crack. The Security Centre feature can find security vulnerabilities in your online password usage (Image credit: RoboForm) There’s a long list of choices you can make, from how complex the master password must be to which IP addresses are whitelisted. One of RoboForm’s strong suits is how much control you have over the password policies of your business. Each group can have its own usage permissions, so, for example, you can set it so members can only view passwords but not change them. Once all your users are added, you have the option of assigning them to groups. If you use Active Directory in your organisation, you can sync it with your RoboForm for Business account and RoboForm will continually update with any changes made to your company's Active Directory. If you choose RoboForm for Business, you get an additional web interface for administering the passwords of all your employees. With an individual or family plan, you can sync your passwords across devices, back up passwords to the cloud, use 2FA, and securely share folders. RoboForm offers you more control over how passwords are used in your organisation than most other password managers (Image credit: RoboForm)Īll versions of RoboForm can fill in web forms automatically, generate secure passwords, and even automatically log in to Windows applications like Skype and iTunes. ![]()

Moss: Book II was released in March 2022 for PlayStation 4 via PlayStation VR before receiving Meta Quest 2 and Windows ports later that year. A sequel to Moss, the game follows Quill as she ventures though the land to battle the arcane to save the land of Moss. Like the original Moss, it’s unlikely that the sequel will stay exclusive to PSVR indefinitely. Stiksma stressed how important porting the game to other VR platforms has been to Moss reaching the platinum sales milestone, and we expect the studio will want to follow a similar timed-exclusive path for Book II.Moss: Book II is a 2022 virtual reality adventure game developed and published by American video game development studio Polyarc. ![]() The studio could try to time the game’s release date with the launch of PSVR 2, though it also doesn’t have a specific release date (but is expected in 2022). Stiksma wouldn’t go as far as saying whether Moss: Book II will launch in 2021-though the announce timing seems about right for a holiday release-but he did confirm that it will launch first on PSVR. It isn’t clear yet if the player will get to swap weapons freely or if each section of the game will be built around one specific weapon. In the Moss: Book IItrailer we can see Quill discover a large hammer, and see the player touch her sword to power it up for a dash attack that crosses platforms. Image courtesy PolyarcĪnd then there’s what Stiksma called “progression,” which takes the form of new weapons that Quill will find throughout her journey, opening the door to new attacks and abilities. Stiksma gave an example of one new interactions in Book II, in which players will connect magical vine bridges from point to point to help Quill navigate the environment. The game requires that players actually reach out and interact with certain parts of the world to open new pathways and help Quill in other ways. ![]() Players familiar with the original game will recall that while they control the main character, Quill, from a third-person view, they themselves are present in the world as well. While the core gameplay remains in tact, the game will add some new interactions and a sort of progression that will deepen the game’s mechanics. Image courtesy Polyarcīut Moss: Book II won’t just be more of the same, Stiksma said. Much of the creative overhead-like art direction, level design, character design, tooling and much more-has already been ‘figured out’, which makes it quicker to build on top of that work compared to creating an entirely new world, characters, and gameplay. Polyarc has since grown to 32 people, and this time around there’s 15 people working full-time directly on Moss: Book II, he said.īeyond having more hands on deck, Stiksma also explained that there’s significant gains in efficiency when working on a sequel compared to a brand new game. The original game, Stiksma said, was developed when the studio was just 15 people total a handful of them were only part-time on Moss, and some weren’t working directly on the game (like HR, finance, and marketing). There’s a few reasons why: for one, the game has a larger dedicated team. 'Firmament' Review – Complex Puzzles & Visual Richness Lacking a Native VR TouchĪnd while Stiksma says that the gameplay will be more of an evolution than a revolution, he confirmed that the game has been in development for two years already, and expects it will have a suitably larger scope than the original. ![]() ![]() ![]() Using Nextcloud without using an encrypted HTTPS connection opens up your server ![]() It is intended for localĭevelopment and usage in controlled environments only. Two years later a viral pandemic prompted me to dig through my stash and try out Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and here we are. How did this blog post come about? Back in 2018 I bought a PlayStation 3, mainly to play Blu-Ray discs, but also to catch up on some games I missed. Nonetheless it was basically an opera, but without music.Įxcept that it did have music, didn't it? It had a memorable electronic soundtrack, so it was like an opera after all, but with music. It existed on the same plane of heightened reality as an opera, but the characters communicated their emotions by firing guns and rockets at each other instead of singing. Objectively the plot of Deus Ex - there were aliens, too, but they weren't really aliens - objectively the plot of Deus Ex was nonsense, but it worked if you thought of the game as an opera. There was also a faction of good guy scientists, so that's seven factions. The producers wisely didn't even attempt to implement a multiplayer mode.Īnd it had Area 51! You nuked it! The Explosive Mission Pack added a bonus mission and a couple of gadgets. Human Revolution was sold in a bewildering array of configurations. The game's plot essentially asks the question " yes but what about moths so where does humanity go when we totally replace our bodies and our minds", and the answer is "you flick a few switches and then Invisible War happens". Human Revolution is a prequel set in 2027, where cyberpunk body modifications are mechanical, but by the time of Deus Ex in the 2050s a new wave of technology has found a way to inject microscopic nano-machines into people's bodies, so that Future Man looks more or less like us. Contemporary reviewers generally ignored the game's derivative nature, perhaps because it stole from so many sources that the reviewers were awed by its chutzpah. It's essentially a hodge-podge of cyberpunk ideas wrapped up in an aesthetic that borrows from The Matrix and Blade, and also Mondo 2000, cyberpunk fiction, the old Max Headroom TV show, the list is huge. The series is set in the mid-to-late twenty-first century, at a time when scientists have worked out how to improve the human body and perhaps even the human mind. On a tonal level it's more grounded in reality than the Metal Gear Solid games, although the characters still wear sunglasses at night and also baggy coats in order to make them look bigger than they really are.
